スペインを拠点に活動する版画・造形作家、ヌリア・アリアス・ロペスによる個展を開催します。

 

本展は、滋賀県大津市のアーティスト・イン・レジデンス「千野ベースAIR」への滞在にあわせて開催される展覧会です。スペインで制作された版画作品を中心に展示します。

【アーティストプロフィール】

ヌリア・アリアス・ロペス（スペイン・バルセロナ生まれ）は、スペイン・テルレス・デ・レスブレ地方を拠点に活動する版画・造形作家です。バルセロナ大学で美術を学び、版画を専門的に修めた後、版画、アーティスト・ブック、映像、インスタレーションなど幅広い表現を展開しています。

 

環境や地域社会との関わりをテーマとしたプロジェクトを数多く手がける一方、近年は自然、生命、宇宙を題材とした作品シリーズを制作しています。作品はARCO（マドリード）をはじめとする展覧会で発表されるほか、環境とアートを結ぶ活動にも積極的に取り組んでいます。

 

 

【千野ベースAIRでの滞在制作】

今回の滞在では、比叡山、延暦寺、琵琶湖などを訪れ、日本の自然や精神文化をリサーチしながら制作を行っています。

 

仏教の世界観への関心を出発点に、風景の観察や日々のドローイング、映像記録を通して、この土地ならではの体験を作品へと昇華させています。また、地域の人々や職人、アーティストとの交流を重ねながら、スケッチや映像など多様な表現で滞在の記録を紡いでいます。

Núria Arias López Solo Exhibition

El Viatge | The Journey

 

FRAME in VOX is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Spanish printmaker and sculptor Núria Arias López.

 

Held in conjunction with her residency at Chino Base AIR in Otsu, Shiga, this exhibition features a selection of print works created in Spain, offering an insight into her artistic practice and research.

Artist Biography

Born in Barcelona, Spain, Núria Arias López is a printmaker and multidisciplinary artist based in the Terres de l’Ebre region of Catalonia. After studying Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and specializing in printmaking, she has developed a diverse practice encompassing printmaking, artist’s books, video, and installation.

 

Her work explores the relationship between art, nature, and society. Alongside projects addressing environmental and social issues, she has recently focused on series inspired by nature, life, and the cosmos. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at ARCO Madrid, and she actively participates in artistic initiatives that connect contemporary art with environmental awareness and community engagement.

 

 

Artist Residency at Chino Base AIR

During her residency at Chino Base AIR, Núria is researching the natural and cultural landscape of Japan through visits to Mount Hiei, Enryaku-ji Temple, Lake Biwa, and other significant sites.

 

Inspired by Buddhist philosophy and the surrounding environment, she is documenting her experience through observation, drawing, and video. By engaging with local residents, craftspeople, and fellow artists, she is developing new perspectives that will inform her future artistic practice.
